THE TAX COLLECTOR’S OFFICE WILL BE ACCEPTING LATE TAX PAYMENTS AS OF TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2020.
PAYMENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED LATE UNLESS POSTMARKED AUGUST 3, 2020.

Town Hall is open for tax payments only starting on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. You must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Please enter via Center Road and exit via the side door. If you are immune compromised, please mail or drop your payment in the blue box near the police dispatcher. Due to budget cuts, there may be a longer wait time and we appreciate your patience. The last day to pay without interest is Monday, August 3, 2020. This date does not apply to those who completed a deferral application. Your due date is October 1, 2020.
Per Emergency Orders 7S and 7W, the interest rate for late payments will be .25% per month for tax balances back to July 1, 2020. Tax bills must be paid by October 1, 2020. On October 2, 2020, the interest rate reverts back to 1.5% per month on any tax balances from the due date of July 1, 2020.
The mill rate for the 2019 Grand List (2020/2021 fiscal year) is 31.00 for Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicles.
The Tax Collector collects all tax-related revenue and charges due to the Town of Easton in accordance with Connecticut General State Statutes while providing taxpayers information and assistance in a prompt, courteous and professional manner.
