Covid hospitalizations are creeping up with the new variant taking over. The increase in hospitalizations suggests that a few more people are getting sicker from this. Still, it is difficult to know where this current wave is going.

At next week’s Board of Selectmen meeting on July 21st, we will discuss South Park Avenue and the conservation easement. While most of it is done, we will be discussing the specific conditions of “passive recreation” on the property. The only remaining piece is the division of the property with the New England Prayer Center which is still being discussed with representatives of the petitioners and the prayer center.

The Easton Park & Rec Dept is collecting supplies for the Jerome Orcutt Community Center in Bridgeport’s East End, it’s Boys & Girls club is looking for equipment for their summer camp. Supplies can be dropped off at the Park & Rec office through July 15th. Our office is open from 8-4, donations can be left outside as well. The Easton Senior Center is updating the Easton Town Directory for 2023.  If you are interested in placing an ad, please call the senior center at 203-268-1145.  The deadline for submission is July 31st.

The Flu Clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, September 13th from 12:00pm-2:00pm at the Easton Public Library Community Room.
