A Message from First Selectman Bindelglass (Update 8/5/2020 evening)

Good evening,

Easton remains at 87% outage. Our crews have been hard at work clearing downed trees and limbs. We are in contact with UI and Frontier and are informed that restoration work should start tonight. We will have a better idea of the outage duration tomorrow. State roads in town are now clear and open as are Morehouse Road and Center Road.

Charging stations and water are available in the lobby of the Police Department. 9-1-1 is operational; however, the non-emergency police number is not.

I want to personally thank all of our emergency personnel as well as our crew at Public Works for their tireless efforts to get Easton back to business! I will be giving an update tomorrow mid-day.  Be safe and well.

Dave Bindelglass
