Committee Charge
The charge of the Committee shall be to advise the First Selectman and the town’s boards, commissions and other departments on Human Resources practices which affect the individual and collective performance and satisfaction of non-union employees of the town.  Such advice shall include matters of compensation and benefits, hiring, training, teamwork, performance reviews, disciplinary matters and improvement processes.  The Committee shall also review, in accordance with its rules, and appropriate federal, state and local laws and union agreements requests for new classifications or reclassifications of positions, both non-union and union, and shall make recommendations on such classifications and reclassifications to the Board of Finance.  The Committee shall also undertake such related duties as shall be given it by the Board of Selectmen or the First Selectman.

Members
There shall be a Human Resources Advisory Committee consisting of five (5) members, three Selectmen, one Finance Director or designee and one non-union employee of the Town as selected by the Board of Selectmen. The non-union employee member will serve for two-years.
