CTALERT: Beginning 3/1/2021, Connecticut residents aged 55-64 can make appointments to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at more than 130 sites statewide. 

The Next Phase of Connecticut’s COVID Vaccine Rollout Begins on March 1st. 
The next phase of eligibility for the COVID vaccine begins in Connecticut on March 1st. All Connecticut residents and people who work in Connecticut and are 55 years of age or older will be eligible for the vaccine. Frontline educators and child care providers will be also be eligible and will be scheduled for appointments through their employers. This includes Pre-K-12 teachers, paraprofessionals, custodial staff, food service providers, school bus drivers, and child care providers as well as in-school administrative staff (but does not include individuals who are not required to work on-site in a school).

The public directory of vaccine clinics is available at United Way 211 of Connecticut www.211ct.org/vaccineclinics. All vaccine clinics require an appointment to be made in advance. When viewing the directory of vaccine clinics, click on ‘More Details’ for specific information about how you can schedule an appointment at each location.

Those eligible to receive the vaccine who are unable to self-schedule an appointment due to lack of internet access or access to technology, a disability or a language barrier can call the COVID Vaccine Appointment Assist Line at 877-918-2224. The Assist Line is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

UPDATE 2/11/2021...
Beginning February 11, 2021, Connecticut residents age 65 and older are now eligible to sign up to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Please see the link below that enables you to upload your information into the Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) which is the online enrollment system you will use to register for vaccination.

Please note that EACH individual MUST have his or her own unique email address to be entered into VAMS. No duplicate emails can be used. If you do not have email, please have a family member help you obtain an email address so you are able to sign-up in VAMS. Each individual will receive an email from CDC.GOV/VAMS which will allow you to make an appointment to receive the vaccine. Numerous locations for vaccination are available; please choose a location most convenient for you.

Beginning Monday, February 8, 2021, 125 trained contact specialists will be available to take phone calls to schedule vaccine appointments from 8a.m. to 8p.m., seven days per week. For detailed information, view Press Release (2/5/2021).
