A reminder from Anthony Ballaro Town of Easton Building Official...
We will be changing our clocks back in a few weeks, and we should all remember to test smoke alarms and CO detectors. If they are battery operated, you should change the batteries at this time, and test the device. If a new device is needed, be sure it is approved by a “Nationally Recognized Testing Lab.” The International Code Council has discovered that many devices purchased from discount on-line e-commerce sites are not properly tested and approved. Please be careful -- it's your family's lives at stake!
