Absentee Ballots available for the Tuesday, November 8th Election

Absentee ballots are available in the Town Clerk's Office for the November 8th Election. Polls are open on Tuesday. 11/8/2016 from 6:00am – 8:00pm at Samuel Staples Elementary School located at 515 Morehouse Road, Easton, Connecticut.

Absentee balloting is available for those individuals who cannot vote in person for one of the following reasons: active service in the armed forces; absence from town during all hours of the election; physical disability; illness; or religious tenets. An application must first be completed, and then the ballot may be issued to the applicant in person or mailed to the address indicated on the application. A voter may apply in person for an absentee ballot at the Town Clerk’s Office, and vote at that time. A ballot cannot be issued in person to anyone other than the applicant. An Application for Absentee Ballot may be obtained online and printed or may be mailed to an applicant upon request. Click on the following link for the Application for Absentee Ballot.

* A voter may also fax or email a copy of the application to the Town Clerk. A ballot will then be mailed the address listed on the application. If a voter chooses to fax or email the Application for Absentee Ballot, then the Town Clerk MUST receive your completed ballot AND the ORIGINAL signed Application for Absentee Ballot  (mailed in a different envelope from the ballot) in the Town Clerk's office by 8pm November 8thin order for your vote to count!
